Dodecanese by ferry

The Dodecanese are the south-eastern islands of Greece, close to the Turkish coast: medieval Rhodes, lively Kos, the holy island of Patmos and small, quiet islands such as Symi, Tilos and Lipsi. Blue Star sails from Piraeus all year, usually overnight: Patmos in about 8 hours (from €56), Leros in 9½ hours (€60), Kos in 12 hours (€79) and Rhodes in 15½ hours or more (from €59). Between the islands, local boats such as Dodekanisos Seaways connect Rhodes, Symi, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros and Patmos; for example Rhodes–Symi from €7.
