About Lavrio Port

Lavrio is the third largest port in Attica, located approximately 60km southeast of Athens center and very close to Athens International Airport. It is the primary port for travelers heading to Kea (Tzia) and Kythnos due to the significantly shorter travel time compared to Piraeus. It also connects Athens with the Northern Aegean islands.

How to get to Lavrio

By Bus (KTEL)
KTEL buses depart from Pedion tou Areos (Athens) every 30-60 mins. The trip takes ~2 hours via the coastal road.
From Airport
Lavrio is only 30 mins drive from the Airport. You can take a taxi (approx. 50€) or the regional KTEL bus.
By Car
Drive via Attiki Odos towards Markopoulo and follow signs to Lavrio. Parking is available near the port.
Taxi Transfer
A taxi from Athens center costs approx. 60€-70€. It is the most comfortable option for families with luggage.
