It takes about 4 hours and 45 minutes with a Highspeed vessel (Seajets) and around 7-8 hours with a conventional ferry (Blue Star Ferries).
Where is the port in Santorini?
The ferry port is called Athinios. It is located at the bottom of the cliffs. Be aware that the road up to the capital is steep and can have traffic.
Is there a ferry from Crete to Santorini?
Yes! This is the most popular day trip. Fast ferries depart from Heraklion every morning (around 08:00 - 09:00) and arrive in Santorini in less than 2 hours.
How to get from the port to Fira/Oia?
There are local buses (KTEL) waiting for every ferry arrival. Taxis are scarce, so pre-booking a transfer is highly recommended.
